Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Short version: we collect what we need to quote your job and call you back, we don't sell it, and we don't send marketing you didn't ask for. The detail below spells that out.

Who we are

Happy Max Handyman Service LLC ("Happy Max", "we", "us") is a handyman business based in Honolulu, Hawaii, serving the island of Oahu. This policy covers happymaxhandymanservice.com and the quote requests sent through it.

Questions about anything here? Email happymaxhandyman@gmail.com or call (808) 201-1311.

What we collect

When you submit the quote form, we receive what you type into it:

  • your name;
  • your mobile phone number;
  • your email address, if you choose to give one — it is optional;
  • details about the job: the service you picked, TV size, wall type, whether you have a mount, your timing, the part of Oahu you're in, and anything you write in the notes field.

Automatically, when the form is submitted, our server also records your browser's user-agent string and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. The hash cannot be reversed back into your IP; we use it only to stop the same connection from flooding the form with spam.

If you arrived from an ad, a search result or another website, the form records where that was — for example the campaign name or the referring domain — so we know which channels actually bring customers. This is stored in your browser's session storage and is discarded when you close the tab.

We do not ask for or store payment card details anywhere on this website.

How we use it

  • To prepare your quote and contact you about it.
  • To schedule and carry out the work, if you decide to book.
  • To follow up about a job we've done for you, including warranty questions.
  • To keep the form working and free of spam.
  • To understand which marketing channels are worth the money.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not build advertising profiles from what you tell us in the form.

Calls and text messages

When you submit the quote form you are asking us to get back to you, and you agree that we may call or text the number you provided about that request. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. These are messages sent by a person, not an autodialer campaign.

You can stop them at any time: reply STOP to any text, or tell us on the phone. Consent to be contacted is never a condition of buying anything from us. We do not sell or rent your phone number, and we do not add you to any marketing list.

Who else sees your information

We don't sell your personal information, and we never have. We share it only with the services that make the business run:

  • Supabase — hosts the database where quote requests are stored.
  • Telegram — delivers the alert that tells us a new request came in, so we can respond quickly.
  • Google — Google Ads conversion measurement, and Google Analytics if it is enabled on the site. See the section on cookies below.
  • GitHub Pages — serves this website. Like any web host, it processes the network requests needed to load the page.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or where it's necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Cookies and measurement

This site does not use cookies to track you across the internet, and it carries no social media pixels or advertising retargeting tags.

We do use Google Ads conversion tracking, which sets a cookie so Google can tell us that an ad click led to a quote request. If Google Analytics is enabled, it sets cookies that count visits and show which pages people read. We see these as aggregate numbers, not as individual people.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on. The site works fine either way. Browsers that send a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal are respected where the tools we use support it.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as we may need them to serve you and honor the workmanship guarantee on a completed job — normally no more than three years after our last contact with you. Requests that never turn into a job are deleted sooner. Spam is discarded immediately.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email happymaxhandyman@gmail.com or call (808) 201-1311 and we'll take care of it. We may need to keep basic records of work already performed where the law requires it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, quote requests travel encrypted, and the database that stores them is not readable by the public — only the owner and the systems listed above can reach it. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously and fix problems when we find them.

Children

This site is meant for adults hiring a handyman. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious on this page rather than buried.
